Pink & Blue

It finally feels like winter today.  Its cloudy and a chilly 32 degrees here, which is shocking considering the 70+ degree weather  we've had the few weeks prior.  I'm cozy in my flannel pants and sweatshirt sitting on the couch looking at the fire blazing in the fireplace.  The pups are snoozing on their bed and I'm watching reruns of Sex and the City...ah the life :)  The only thing I'm missing is my cup of hot chocolate.

I've been hoping for colder weather and now that its here, I can't wait for summer.  Not because of the warm weather, but because of the exciting events that will be taking place.  I'll be turning 30, which isn't exactly exciting because I don't feel like I'm that old.  But, as advised, I'm trying to be happy and celebrate because it means people with CF are living longer healthier lives.  Another exciting event is that my little brother is graduating high school.  I'm proud of him and look forward to his new chapter of life in college.

But, most of all, I'm excited because I'll be welcoming not one, but two new babies into my life.  My brother and sister-in-law are expecting and so is my best friend, Brandy (and her husband Matt too)!!  They are due a day apart - wow!!  I'm going to be busy shopping for lots of baby goodies!  Michael and Amanda have found out what they are having, but I can't disclose it cause my dad wants to be surprised...thats a hard secret to keep, but I'm going to try!  Brandy and Matt will know on Friday, so I'll either be buying 2 of everything or both pink & blue...yay!

I'm trying to avoid baby fever with everyone else having babies.  So far, so good.  A little retail therapy and I should stay good :)
