It's halfway through March, and it's already been a busy year!
In January, I had a Mammogram and everything was great! I spoiled myself with a facial and massage to ring in the new year. Will was away 2 weekends, so Cap and I soaked in some quiet time at home on the couch watching tv & reading by the fireplace.
Also, I went to the NC mountains with some friends and enjoyed playing in the snow!
Then to close out the month, I went up to Indiana to visit my brothers family. We had a fun weekend, and I was able to help my niece with her school project. She had to make Simone Biles from a 2 Liter pop bottle! I was excited to help as I was there to help my nephew do his 2 years ago too.

I had a CF appointment in February and had a great check up. We talked about the new CF drug, Alyftrek, and the possibility of switching. I'm not planning to at this point, because I'm doing well on Trikafta and it won't make that much difference to me in going from twice a day to once a day. I don't mind taking a pill...now if it was a breathing treatment or something that took time, then maybe I'd be more inclined to make the switch.
Will and I took our annual trip to South Padre Island as well. We ate, we drank, we visited Mexico. It was a fabulous time as always!

The end of the month was a bit crazy, I went to Charlotte with my girlfriends to see Kelsea Ballerini and then we got a new FOSTER DOG!! More on him shortly.

Then, we rang in March in Atlanta at the Bully Ball! Definitely my favorite event of the year to get dressed up and raise some money for the bulldogs!

Now for the Pupdate! We are so lucky to get to Foster this sweet, squishy boy named Elton. Captain LOVES him and is so glad to have a playmate again. Elton came back to the rescue due to his parents getting divorced and are unable to continue to provide the care and attention he deserves. So, it's our turn to give him some love. He has been adjusting well into our household. Unfortunately he had a rough week last week, due to needing Entropion surgery - which is where the eyelashes curl into the eye instead of out. So, he's in the cone of shame and is recovering from his procedure. Additionally they did a touch up on his nostrils to make sure they were wide to help him breathe better. We still have to overcome some issues with his urination. He struggles to hold his bladder overnight and even for a few hours when he's crated during the day (not all the time though). He had an ultrasound which didn't reveal any issues like bladder stones, so we didn't get any firm answers yet. He's been taking some medicine designed to help strengthen the muscles and it may be starting to have some improvements. But with everything he's going through recovering from surgery, we're just giving him time to heal. He's a good boy wearing his diaper/belly band in case he has any leakage.

We are ready for him to feel better! And Captain really can't wait to play! Looking forward to having this big guy with us a while and see where it leads.
