Recap
It's been a while again - oops! So, here is a little recap of what I've been up to!
On Saturday, March 24th, was Steeplechase. Its a horserace in Aiken, SC which we have been going to since college (10 years now!). Its always a great day to enjoy cocktails, good food, good friends and watch some horses run by.
The next morning, I headed out to Las Vegas (yes, again) to celebrate my mom's birthday. We saw Rod Stewart in concert, spent one morning at the spa, did some shopping and ate lots of good food!
Then, this past Saturday was a dog walk, Paws for Pink. The alumnae chapter of my sorority holds this walk every year to raise money for breast cancer awareness. Unfortunately, it was pouring that morning so we didn't bring the pups along...it stopped raining just enough for a quick lap around the track. Good thing is that we will reschedule for another day in hopes for nicer weather and more people to turn out.
My dad and sister Callie, came down later that afternoon for a few days. It was their first time getting to see the pups. Sarge and Stella really love Callie - see, aren't they cute together:
I finished reading my March book on Saturday as well, "The Love Season" by Elin Hilderbrand. It was an easy and enjoyable read, but I was mad when it ended. It felt like it cut off at the end - I wanted more! Not quite sure what I'm going to read next.
I have a lot to do this week for the Great Strides walk coming up on April 21st! I've got to get shirts ordered, and finish raising money! Thanks to my sister Callie, I have picked the shirt color this year - you'll find out soon. Go CF Stinks!!!
I am so excited that Lent is over in 6 more days!! I am craving some Sour Patch Kids and Cherry Coke Zero!!!!
